Corolla Horse Tour FAQ
What do I need to reserve a horse tour?
Name, credit card, full payment will be required for all tours.
What if I need to cancel?
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. Changes are treated as a cancellation if we are not able to rebook the seats.
No-shows and cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour time will be charged the full price.
How often do the horse tours go out?
The tour times vary seasonally, but we usually will have one tour leaving every hour or so. They usually start at 9 A.M. and go until sunset. We do suggest reservations; our tours tend to fill up.
What should we bring with us on the horse tour?
We suggest a small cooler (six pack) to keep a few drinks in. We also suggest suntan lotion. We have a canvas top, but you will get sun on the trip. Moms, if you need to bring a backpack with munchies for the little ones, that will be O.K. with me 🙂
How old do the kids have to be?
We have no age restrictions. We do ask that you install a child safety seat for kids that need them.
Do I need to bring the kids car seats?
In North Carolina, children under the age of 8 and weighing less than 80 pounds must be properly secured in a car seat or booster seat.
Do we need to tip the driver?
Tip your driver as you would a server in restaurant.
Bad back or medical condition?
This is an off road tour and may at times be bumpy or a rough ride. While we do our best to provide a pleasant experience, we cannot control the conditions in 4×4 area. For that reason if you have a bad back or any medical condition that causes you concern, you should consider not taking the tour. You enjoyment and safety is important to us.
Pregnant and in your third trimester?
This tour is not recommended for you.
Will we see horses on the beach, or running on the beach?
We never know. There are lots of factors that will bring the horses out to the beach. We see them on the beach, dunes, and often behind the dunes.
